Slow and Steady…

./episode-delete.php now has basic functionality (deletes 1 episode at a time by changing the status from 'created' to 'deleted').

Work continues on moving all of the configuration information from ./includes/config.inc.php into the database itself. The only configuration information that will remain in ./includes/config.inc.php is that which is needed to connect to the database, along with any overrides (none will be provided in the default distribution, but they will allow those users that are more comfortable editing text files to make changes that would normally have to be done in the database).

Any suggestions regarding ways to help spread the code and let the rest of you work on it would be greatly appreciated.

if you want other people to work on your code, you should atleast write documentation for your own functions, and provide printouts of your database structure with explanations of which field means what.
It liiiiiiiiives :-)

I may have a bit more free time from now on, so if you could direct me to where I can download the files and what section you'd like me to work on I could get back on working on it this week.

I know CVS is a good tool for sharing code, I use it at school, and methinks it's worth a try.
I'm working on getting CVS or something similar working, I'm just not very experienced with anything besides Apache/PHP/MySQL at this point. Soon, though, I hope!

Of course, maybe I'm just procrastinating because I'm having a hell of a time making things tidy enough to not be embarassed by them, or because I'm still not done replacing everything with $CONFIG[] instead of the original variables from ./includes/config.inc.php… I'm working on it though. I wonder if we could get that sort of thing hosted somewhere better, like Sourceforge or something similar.
